Jocko Willink




Jocko Willink is an American retired officer in the United States Navy SEAL, author, podcaster and co-founder of the management consulting firm Echolon Front.

He became known worldwide with his books Extreme Ownership and The Dichotomy of Leadership, among others.


Willink was part of the Navy SEALs for 20 years and rose to become SEAL Officer. He was in action as the commander of the Bruiser Task Unit of SEAL during the Iraq war. He then worked as a training manager for the SEAL teams.


After retiring from the American military, he founded Echolon Front together with his former SEAL colleague Leif Babin and started the Jocko Podcast.
