What are we men afraid of?
The Art of Not Falling for Fear-Based Messaging
With our malleable minds, capable of learning a whole life long, we men must first discover what is important in life. Which is why we are and remain seekers. But it’s all too easy to get lost along the path of this search for a happy and fulfilled life. As soon as we start to feel that we’ve ended up on the wrong path, we get scared. And that’s a good thing. Fear is our most vigilant companion. It enable us to learn from mistakes. We cannot live without fear.
What’s foolish is that we all cling to the dream of a life without fear. So many many men try to ignore legitimate fears. They may even have the experience of a deeply felt, quite legitimate fear being masked by a more superficially triggered, better controlled fear. In order to achieve certain goals, we humans are able to both suppress fear and reinforce it – not just with ourselves, but even more effectively in others.
Fomenting or assuaging fear can therefore be used to specifically advance one’s own interests and agendas. This instrumentalization of fear makes people dependent and able to be manipulated, robbing them of their freedom. So the real issue is probably not how we free ourselves of fear, but what we can do so as not to become driven by the fears stirred up by other people or interest groups.

They help strengthen the relationship in a sustained manner and put it on stable footing. Anton is a coach for children and youth, a certified mental coach, boys coach and adventure guide. In Kitzbühel/Tyrol, he also has a practice for children and youth coaching as well as boys coaching.
Your Son Is Better Than You Think!
Why boys need male role models and parents must learn to read their sons.
Anton Wieser is certain: “Boys do what they do, but not to harm others, particularly not their parents, but so that they themselves feel better in one way or another.”
If this statement is true, then the whole topic around “bad boys” should be turned on its head. It removes the blame from the boys and takes the pressure out of the relationship between boys and their environment. It changes the status of boys from problem causer to problem avoider for themselves.
To know why boys do what they do, it’s necessary to understand them. How do they think, how are they doing in a quickly changing world, what are the challenges they face.
Boys need male role models, ideally the father. There can be friction between them, the boy is guided by the father and imitates him as much as possible. And the father – the male role model, the role model for the boy – should know how the boy thinks and how he is wired so he as role model can be the best guide he can be along the path towards the boy becoming a responsible man.
How do boys think today, what excites them, what’s important to them? What do boys need so that they are as happy as possible? What role does the father play in the son’s development to become a responsible, modern thinking man? That’s what this presentation is about.
- Haka Presentation
Saturday, June 6
The Haka and Me
“A great search for inner freedom led me to a self-organized camp for men a number of years ago. At this camp, men give each other the gift of wonderful workshops. In one of the workshops, deep inside myself I felt a freedom that I had never experienced before and yet felt familiar all the same.
I was given the gift of the haka, the warrior dance of the Maori people, the native inhabitants of New Zealand. It can also be seen performed by New Zealand’s national rugby team, the All Blacks, before their matches.
Since that first encounter, this dance has been an intense companion in my everyday life and on journeys to the furthest corners of the Earth. I very enthusiastically pass on this gift at events, conferences and festivals, as well as at this year’s MANN SEIN.
This initiatory experience has been magically deepening ever since. The warrior energy carries me into the here and now in no time at all. It has the powerful potential of channeling my presence and focus.
It is my desire to pass on this dance in peace, thankfulness, respect and humility, and to enable more people to access this energy.
May the power of the warrior be led out of the collective shadow and into the light.“

Andreas Ullrich does his thing!
He is a personal trainer, author of the book "Power Papa-Fitness für Väter" ("Power Dad-Fitness for Fathers") and a collaborator of soccer world champion Thomas Müller at YOUMECO.
He already built up his business during his sports science studies and loves to bring out his clients' full potential.
For him, training and optimizing your diet is much more than just getting a healthy body. It is important to him to help you fully embody your life. Aligning with his credo "I move you" he chooses individual training systems for his clients applying holistic thinking that includes all areas of life and an authentic pursuit of goals.
Self-Care for Men
Holistic Training and Nourishing Yourself
"I invite you to become familiar with a functional training approach that will help you better cope with your everyday life, will give you better posture, will help you nourish your body by eating right – and thereby be well prepared for your life as a man.
Strength training and healthy eating are my game-changers, bringing me towards a healthier version of myself. And by that I mean first and foremost: being good to myself.
I know bodybuilders who feel empty inside and have huge psychological complexes. On the opposite end of the spectrum, I’ve experienced men for whom a customized physical training program and a healthy diet have triggered a cascade of positive personal development processes.
I’d like to inspire you to do more for yourself. It doesn’t matter if you weight train, do yoga or switch to a vegan diet (as examples) – in the end, what counts is that it feels good and feels right for you personally.
I’m looking forward to giving my presentation at the online MANN SEIN 2020, and will warm you up on both days with some exercises to move and energize you for a good start to your conference days."

Matthias Hahn is an absolute nerd in integral consciousness practice and personality development. As part of the MALEvolution, he has a real concern to give today's men support in their next development step towards a more conscious, loving and, above all, authentic manhood.
The Path to Being a Powerful and Authentic Man
The men's movement is still a small embryo. Already visible under the microscope, but not really there yet. We are already taking a step in the right direction with MANN SEIN, but to be honest, most men are still pretty stuck in their social roles: "Real men are / should / must ..."
Do you have the feeling that your image of masculinity supports you and carries you in a powerful identity or are you sometimes quite insecure and overwhelmed by the contradicting expectations of yourself - of modern society, your partner, your buddies and yourself?
In the workshop I would like to take you on a journey into male evolutionary history and deep psychology. Together we are researching how manhood has developed over the past millennia and decades. In an honest and secure room I would like letting you being moved with the question of what separates us from a powerful and natural manhood and how you can find YOUR manhood, far from simple platitudes.
